As a highly successful commercial director, Peter Kagan’s clients run the gamut from Dannon Yougurt to Nike. All of his exceptional spots are brought to life through his signature streamline style of film production. In redeveloping his company’s website, he was looking for an approach that would set his brand apart from the competition—something that went beyond the standard logo-and-reel .com experience ubiquitous in the the commercial film industry. With this in mind, he approached Token with a unique request, “Let each piece of work speak for itself in telling the Streamline Content story—make it about the reel, but don’t make it about the reel.”
Token took Kagan’s request to make the complex simple to heart; we conceived a design that showcases the full Streamline Content reel in a non-linear fashion, illustrating the diversity of the director’s experience and the rich tapestry of his work. We provided brand identity, logo design, website strategy and full .com redesign and development to produce the online experience that is as natural as handing someone a video reel.
The resulting site, streamlinecontent.com, showcases years of Kagan’s award-winning work in a fashion that disrupts the traditional director’s reel paradigm. The full portfolio of work is presented via thumbnail vignettes that together illustrate the director’s diversity, passion and unique understanding of the digital medium. On the back end, a sophisticated but simple drag-and-drop interface enables the Streamline Content team to assemble custom reels on the fly for digital delivery to potential clients.
