TOKEN FOUNDER, RICHARD PASQUA SLATED TO SPEAK AT THE BITS AND MORTAR CONFERENCE

AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS | 2012 CONFERENCE, NYC

Token founder Richard Pasqua is honored to be speaking at this years Bits+Mortar conference in New York City. He will be speaking about “The Responsive Brand” and the effects, social, technology and responsive design has on your brand.

Bits + Mortar: Architecture in the Age of Digital Communication
Bits and Mortar: Architecture in the Age of Digital Communication is a one-and-a-half day symposium that will bring together some of the most influential thinkers and achievers in design, technology, fabrication and publishing to discuss ways in which the discipline of architecture – enabled by fundamental technological advances– can re-establish itself as a driver of cultural change beyond the traditional boundaries of the discipline. We believe the perceived role of architects needs to be critically re-examined and re-defined before it’s too late and, thus, our invited speakers have all been cited as ‘change agents’ in their respective fields outside of architecture, significantly leading by their ideas, actions and achievements. Bits + Mortar will target the general public, business leaders, artists, professionals and all those who believe architects can and must do more to bring about thoughtful, substantive – even intimate – change, especially in a time of diminishing resources and increasing political fragmentation. We will seek to identify the means by which architects can incorporate technology to revitalize their services and reinvigorate their practices, and we will challenge our speakers – along with our audience – to go beyond commenting on current economic and cultural conditions and actually begin developing a practical solution within a one-year timeframe.

WHO WE ARE

WHAT WE DO

Mobile Designs

For us, designing for mobile isn’t just about the size of the viewport but about understanding how portability, preferences, proximity, and personalization can enhance the user experience.

Wearable Technology

As digital technology becomes more integral to our daily lives it’s migrating from device interfaces to wearable ones. At Token, we’re preoccupied with concepting and prototyping the kind of frictionless, pervasive technology that defines the next stage of the web.

Desktop Design

As primary as mobile has become, the desktop remains a daily focal point for most users. We take a progressive approach to design focuses on optimal content and utility for the desktop users while ensuring a high level of usability and contextual relevance for mobile devices.

Connected Spaces Design

The world around us is becoming increasingly digitized - a phenomenon Forrester Research refers to as “The Splinternet”. Our strategy, design, and technological expertise enables your brand to stay connected in an always-on, multi-touch environmental world.
